BUILD EUROPE / INFORMATION

Code of Conduct

A community built on respect, curiosity, and room for different perspectives.

Draft copy · Updated 13 October 2026

These pages contain generic draft copy. Organiser details, contact channels, and final arrangements will be confirmed before the event opens for bookings.

01

Who this applies to

These community standards are intended for attendees, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, organisers, and anyone taking part in Build Europe spaces, including event-related online conversations.

02

Build with respect

  • Be considerate of different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
  • Make space for others to speak and participate.
  • Respect personal boundaries, names, and pronouns.
  • Ask before photographing or recording someone, and respect their answer.
  • Disagree with ideas constructively, without personal attacks.

03

Behaviour that is not welcome

Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, threats, stalking, unwanted sexual attention, and repeated disruption have no place in this community. Do not share another person’s private information without permission.

These standards apply regardless of someone’s role, seniority, sponsorship, or relationship to the event.

04

Raising a concern

At the event, speak to an identified member of the organising team if you experience or witness behaviour that makes you feel unsafe or excluded. Reports should be handled respectfully and shared only as needed to respond.

To complete before the event: a monitored reporting channel, named contact roles, and a clear response procedure. This website does not currently provide a monitored incident-reporting service.

05

Responding to concerns

The organiser may ask someone to stop inappropriate behaviour, leave a session, or leave the event where necessary to support a respectful environment. Final reporting, investigation, and participation procedures will be shared before the event.
